Construction of a section of the S7 Expressway between Kalsk and Miłomłyn

Construction was undertaken by Strabag. With the TEFRA 15® binder, the contractor was able to achieve the required load-bearing parameters of the improved ground – 40 MPa. TEFRA 25® hydraulic binder was also used to achieve the compressive strength of Rm 1.5 MPa in non-cohesive soils.

Construction of a section of the S7 Expressway between Ostróda and Olsztynek
Total quantity of material supplied: 68k tons

Construction was undertaken by Strabag and Strabag Infrastruktura. By applying the TEFRA 15® and TEFRA 25® binders, the contractor significantly increased the load-bearing parameters, i.e., above 60 MPa. Also, TEFRA 25® was used as an ingredient of the cement-stabilized soil with the capacity of 2.5MPa and 5 MPa. The use of this binder type was intended to improve the grain structure which translated into increased compressive strength.

Construction of the S2 Expressway: the Warsaw South Ring Road
Total quantity of material supplied: 54k tons

Construction was undertaken by Bilfinger Berger Polska. By applying the TEFRA 15® binder, the contractor significantly reduced the level of moisture in cohesive soils.

Total quantity of material supplied: 40k tons

Construction was undertaken by Budimex. By applying the TEFRA 15® binder, the contractor was able to achieve the required load-bearing parameters of embankment layers.

Construction of the Toruń-Stryków section of the A1 Highway, section III: between Brzezie and Kowal
Total quantity of material supplied: 30k tons

Construction of this expressway was undertaken by an Irish construction company SRB. With the TEFRA 15® binder, the contractor was able to achieve the required load-bearing parameters of the improved ground and embankment layers. TEFRA 25® hydraulic binder was also used to achieve the compressive strength of Rm 1.5 MPa in non-cohesive soils.
